Committee

The Crypt Pre-school is a registered Charity, and as such, is managed by a parent-elected Committee. A Committee member can serve for up to 10 years. They meet regularly and new members are always welcome. If you are interested please let us know. Being an active member of the Pre-school Committee can be fun. The Elections take place at the Pre-school's Annual General Meeting, which is held in October each year. The Annual General Meeting is open to all parents. It is their forum for looking back over the previous year's activities and shaping the coming year's activities. The committee is responsible for:

  • managing the pre-school's finances;
  • employing and managing the staff;
  • making sure that the Pre-school has, and follows policies which help it to provide a high quality service;
  • making sure that the Pre-school works in partnership with the children's parents.
  • fundraising

Parents can also be involved by helping at events such as coffee mornings, Christmas parties etc. If you have talents such as playing a musical instrument or any interests that the children might enjoy please let us know. The Pre-school cannot operate without a Committee, and it is therefore essential that a number of parents are elected and serve as the Pre-school committee. The present Committee is as follows:-
